Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data JYTS.H collects, how we use it, and your rights. We collect the minimum necessary to deliver personalized Vedic astrology insights. We do not sell your personal data.
1. Who we are
JYTS.H ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered Vedic astrology application. Our contact email is privacy@jytsh.online.
2. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Identity and contact: Phone number (used for authentication via OTP), optional recovery email address.
- Birth data: Date, time, and place of birth. This is the core input for computing your Vedic astrological chart. It is sensitive personal data and we treat it accordingly.
- Life context: Career stage, relationship status, and optional context you provide during onboarding. Used to personalize AI insights.
- Usage data: Which features you use, how often you open the app, check-ins, daily act completions, and karma scores. Used to improve the product.
- Device data: Device type, OS version, app version, and crash logs. Used for debugging and performance.
- Subscription data: Purchase history and subscription status via RevenueCat. We do not store full payment card details.
3. How we use your data
- Compute your Vedic sidereal birth chart (D1–D60 vargas, Vimshottari dasha) and daily planetary positions.
- Generate personalized AI insights, daily readings, and responses to your chat messages using your chart and life context as grounding data.
- Send daily notifications (only if you grant permission) with your morning energy summary.
- Track karma, streaks, and engagement within the app.
- Process subscription payments and enforce access tiers.
- Diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and develop new features.
We do not use your data for advertising targeting. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. AI and language models
JYTS.H uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate chart interpretations, daily readings, and chat responses. Your birth data, life context, and chat messages may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs how they process API requests. We do not permit Anthropic to use your data to train their models under our API agreement.
5. Sharing and third parties
We share data only as necessary to operate the service:
- Anthropic: AI inference for chart readings and chat (birth data, life context, chat messages).
- Firebase (Google): Phone OTP authentication, push notifications.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and payment processing.
- Sentry / Crash Analytics: Error reporting (device info, stack traces — no personal data).
We do not share your birth data, phone number, or chat messages with any third party beyond the list above, and never for advertising purposes.
6. Data retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Chat messages are retained on our servers for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- After account deletion, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Anonymized, aggregated usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and all associated personal data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@jytsh.online. We will respond within 30 days.
You can also delete your account directly in the app under Settings, which will trigger full data deletion within 30 days.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest for sensitive fields, and access controls limiting who can read your personal data internally. No system is completely secure, but we take these obligations seriously.
9. Children
JYTS.H is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us at privacy@jytsh.online and we will delete the data promptly.
10. Cookies and tracking
The JYTS.H mobile app does not use browser cookies. Our landing website (jytsh.online) uses only essential, non-tracking cookies to maintain session state. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
11. International transfers
Our servers and third-party providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of JYTS.H after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
